Asking us to code a website about organic coffee for socially-minded folks is almost as good as the cup of “jims” itself!

Introducing Jim’s Organic Coffee

“Drink up. Feel good.” That’s an understatement from the team at Jim’s Organic Coffee. This fantastic local company recently won the “Best Organic Coffee” by Organic Foods Retailer Magazine and packages its brew for some of the finest hotels, retailers, restaurants and markets throughout the country.

Why Jim’s came to Design Principles…

Jim’s Organic Coffee had a refreshingly fun and innovative package design…but they wanted to take their website to a whole new level. At the same time, they were looking for an easy-to-use e-commerce system that would allow them to show off their multiple varieties of blends and roasts and intuitive navigation for their current pages.

The Result

The finished website answered all their requests and more. Here’s what we did to catapult Jim’s to the next level:

  • Stunning design with background images showcasing organic coffee fields
  • Custom designed product landing pages to guide the customer through the ordering process
  • Custom coded fields to allow for customers to pick their “grind” preference for each individual order.
  • Custom coded “find-a-retailer” application, allowing customers to find a retailer selling Jim’s Organic Coffee near them.

The Bottom Line

In addition to the special coding on the website, our team also designed an email template in Campaign Monitor so that Jim’s could maintain their new identity and still have an easy-to-access template. After the first email campaign, they saw almost a 3,000% increase in the amount of visits to their website. (Pretty good if we don’t say so ourselves.)
